The Maison's iconic motif of luck radiates in the Alhambra® Lucky Garden of Wuhan
December 20, 2022
From December 18th to 30th 2022, the Maison unveils the Alhambra® Lucky Garden. The iconic motifs radiates in the courtyard of the east building of Heartland 66.
There are four different sections inspired by the four-leaf clover motifs. These spaces respectively represent the orgin of luck, the timeless icon and the lasting luck, while the last section is dedicated to the excellence and savoir faire of the Maison. The design theme gracefully adorns a poetic and charming atmosphere inviting visitors to discover drawings and archives that illustrate how luck inspired the Maison through the decades.
The Alhambra® collection has taken on a broad palette of natural materials and adopted a variety of symbols, colors and different-sized motifs to constantly renewed itself. The Alhambra® ring and long necklace of the 1970s were adorned with materials like yellow gold, coral, lapis lazuli or malachite. Over the years, this collection has given rise to innovative interpretations, highlighting rare and precious materials.
This year, the Alhambra® collection welcomes 5 new creations adorned with a sunburst pattern in guilloché white gold. The sunbeam-like streaks bestow a subtle relief on the surface of the gold, intensifying the flow of light. True to the original style of the collection, each motif features a beaded contour and a central bead in white gold. The varied skills of lapidaries, jewelers, stone-setters and polishers come together to give birth to each piece in tradition with the Van Cleef & Arpels savoir-faire and excellence.
