Van Cleef & Arpels unveils Perlée pop-ups in South East Asia, in collaboration with
Arthur Hoffner
June 27, 2025

From June 28th to August 24th, 2025, Van Cleef & Arpels is once again collaborating with French artist Arthur Hoffner to create vibrant and colorful pop-ups, celebrating the joyful spirit of the Perlée® collection in Southeast Asia. This enchanting journey begins in Singapore before traveling to Bangkok and finally Kuala Lumpur. Both jewelry and watchmaking creations with the signature graphic lines of the Perlée collection will be showcased, featuring rounded forms and shimmering reflections. These pieces illustrate the Maison’s savoir-faire and its taste in gemstones.
French visual artist Arthur Hoffner, a friend of the Maison since 2019, has woven a playful narrative within the Perlée universe for the pop ups. He turns the codes of the collection into a vibrant scenography and interactive map of dynamic structures, seamlessly blending movements and immersive physical or digital experiences. Delicate colored beads harmonize with each other, as if floating on a multi-dimensional path, inviting visitors to journey through this joyful universe.
"The Perlée collection embodies movement, playfulness and lightness. Since the beginning of our collaboration, I have sought to embody these notions through settings designed as playgrounds for the pearl, in a suspended trajectory."
Within the Perlée installation, Van Cleef & Arpels highlights a diverse array of creations, where the contemporary Perlée creations are displayed alongside patrimonial pieces, embodying the Maison’s remarkable craftsmanship and heritage.
Throughout the decades, the emblematic motif has lent itself to a great variety of aesthetics. In the late 1940s, it is a motif on the sculptural Couscous and Bagatelle creations and adorned several charming animal clips in the La Boutique collection during the following decade. In the 1960s, the golden beads were paired with the vibrant shades of ornamental stones in pieces such as the Rosace clip. And ever since the first Alhambra creation was released in 1968, they have outlined the Maison’s iconic motif inspired by a four-leaf clover. Nowadays, the golden bead adds a cheerful touch to the Lucky Spring and Lucky Animals jewelry collections and has established itself as a timeless aesthetic code that is emblematic of Van Cleef & Arpels.
