Van Cleef & Arpels in the film Dilili à Paris
After Kirikou and the Sorceress and Azur & Asmar, Michel Ocelot’s Dilili in Paris takes viewers on an extraordinary journey through the heart of Belle Époque Paris.
Dilili encounters a constellation of famous figures, notably Opera Singer Emma Calvé, who takes the impish young girl under her wing. In the film, the celebrated soprano wears two jewels inspired by Van Cleef & Arpels heritage pieces: the Collaret necklace of Princess Faiza of Egypt, set with diamonds and drop-shaped emeralds, and the Flots de Rubans clip, a graceful bow of diamonds.
Dilili in Paris abounds with qualities that resonate harmoniously with the universe of Van Cleef & Arpels, including the title character’s vivacity and altruistic crusade, as well as the kind-heartedness of Emma Calvé.
