Costas Voyatzis, an interior designer, has decided to help the Maison search for its Precious Puppy, a member of a series of cartoon-style animal brooches. Costas will take advantage of his online network using social media and encouraging the audience to spread the hashtag #MissingPreciousPuppy to create a buzz. A digital campaign will also be launched across the world from May 10th until June 5th.
The story of the Precious Puppy dates from 1954, when Van Cleef & Arpels intended to offer a more accessible line of jewelry to a broader clientele, by introducing “La Boutique” at 22, Place Vendôme. This collection was made up of cartoon-style animal clips that added a playful note to the Maison’s creations. Belonging to this collection, the Missing Precious Puppy is a knitted and twisted yellow gold brooch with emerald eyes and an adorable little black onyx nose.
A special preview of the dedicated minisite http://missingpreciouspuppy.yatzer.com/ is set from May 5th to May 9th. The platform will reveal the leads and the status of the worldwide search, as well as the Precious Puppy’s story and its family members.
