Following the poetic and colorful worlds of Kirikou and the Sorceress and Azur & Asmar, Michel Ocelot’s new film Dilili à Paris takes place in the French capital, taking viewers on a sweeping tour of the city.
Dilili meets soprano Emma Calvé, her “fairy godmother” voiced by Natalie Dessay. With benevolence and finesse, the singer takes the endearing young girl under her wing. She is presented wearing two pieces of jewelry, drawn based on heritage pieces provided by the Maison.
The Collaret, a masterpiece of the Van Cleef & Arpels Collection set with diamonds and 10 emerald pendants, belonged to Princess Faiza of Egypt. The second piece is the Flots de Rubans brooch, a graceful, billowing diamond bow worn by the singer on the side of a hat.
Michel Ocelot’s original and highly personal style mirrors the creativity of Van Cleef & Arpels.
The Maison is proud to support this film and to contribute to the enchanted world of the silver screen.
Dilili à Paris, in cinemas in Japan from August 24th, 2019.
