Barbara Hutton, the “Million Dollar Baby”
American heiress Barbara Hutton, known as the “Million Dollar Baby,” consistently expressed her passion for jewelry and her close bond with the Maison. She owned a sizable collection of pieces, including a pair of diamond Disque earrings (1934) and the iconic Spirit of Beauty Fairy brooch (1941). In 1946, she ordered brooches and cufflinks as Christmas gifts for her friends, while in 1967 she called on the Maison to create a unique tiara set with 22 pear-shaped diamonds.
