The Maison experienced a new creative impetus, crafting the first themed High Jewelry collections. Alongside groundbreaking jewelry creations such as Perlée® and Frivole®, the Complications Poétiques watch collection expressed Van Cleef & Arpels’ poetic vision of time.

Millennium Clip
To celebrate the dawn of the third millennium, the Maison created a spectacular dual clip adorned with Mystery Set rubies and diamonds. Worn individually or as a pair, each flower sparkles with five pear-shaped diamonds mounted on tremblers.

Launch of the Songe d’une Nuit d’Été High Jewelry collection
Van Cleef & Arpels put forth its own interpretation of Shakespeare’s masterpiece with an ode to nature and whimsical beauty.

Creation of the Frivole® collection
These floral jewels stand out for their graphic and aerial aesthetic. The mirror-polished gold endows the heart-shaped petals with a unique gleam, while the asymmetrical compositions attest to Van Cleef & Arpels’ gift for breathing life and motion into its creations.

Lacquered butterflies
Reinterpreting butterflies, one of its traditional sources of inspiration, the Maison worked with master lacquer artist Junichi Hakose to create wood or mother-of-pearl clips embellished with exceptional lacquer motifs.

Launch of the Boutonnière Line
Van Cleef & Arpels created a High Jewelry collection celebrating its affinity for the world of couture. Fabric was reinterpreted as a precious material while adornments and fashion accessories were recast as exceptional creations.

Launch of the Pierres de Caractère High Jewelry collection
This collection paid tribute to exceptional stones, a central facet of Van Cleef & Arpels’ creations throughout its history. Diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires, as well as aquamarine and spessartine garnets, were extolled in High Jewelry creations.

Trésors Révélés High Jewelry collection
To mark its 100th anniversary, the Maison manufactured 11 hitherto unseen pieces based on sketches made between the 1920s and the 1960s.

Une Journée à Paris™ High Jewelry collection
Van Cleef & Arpels paid tribute to the city of its birth with a bejeweled stroll among the most celebrated sites in the French capital: Jardin des Tuileries, Île de la Cité, Avenue Montaigne, the Eiffel Tower, the Opéra Garnier and of course Place Vendôme.

L’Atlantide High Jewelry collection
The mythical lost Kingdom of Atlantis provided inspiration for a Van Cleef & Arpels High Jewelry collection replete with nymphs, mermaids and sea creatures.

Ballet Précieux™ High Jewelry collection
Drawing inspiration from its collaboration with choreographer George Balanchine, creator of the 1967 ballet Jewels, Van Cleef & Arpels imagined a collection in four chapters: ballet, emerald, ruby and diamond.

Joyful and feminine, the Perlée® collection draws from an iconic field of expertise at Van Cleef & Arpels: golden beads. Made of gold and set with diamonds or precious stones, Perlée® creations can be mixed, matched and combined according to the wearer’s fancy.

“The Spirit of Beauty” exhibition at Tokyo’s Mori Arts Center
The Maison presented a retrospective exhibition in Tokyo, looking back at more than a century of creation through 250 jewelry creations, watches, fashion accessories and objets d’art.
