L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelery Arts returns to Japan in 2023

From February 24th to March 10th, 2023, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts continues to travel the world and has landed at the Kyoto University of the Arts, on the Gaien Campus to offer variated programs to discover the art of Jewelry.
L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts was founded in 2012 on Place Vendôme in Paris with the support of Van Cleef & Arpels. Since then, it has become the only educational and cultural institution in the world to open the doors of the jewelry world to the general public, welcoming all who are eager to learn regardless of age or experience. More than 50,000 people from over 50 countries around the world have had the opportunity to discover Jewelry in all its depth and breath.
The programs offered are all in line with those at the main school in Paris, with courses and talks led by teachers and artisans who are experts in their fields. A total of 18 different courses, including 4 new courses will be offered this year in the areas of art history of jewelery, the world of gemstones and savoir-faire. In addition there will also be children workshops, as well as evening conversations, interactive talks on four jewelry-related topics. Like the previous session in 2019, the venue interior will be designed by leading Japanese architect Sosuke Fujimoto. All the furniture and decorations that create the refined spaces that embody L’ÉCOLE’s philosophy will be made from renewable wood for new uses, in line with Van Cleef & Arpels’ commitment to sustainable practices.
