Van Cleef & Arpels and Charlotte Gastaut

Charlotte Gastaut, Van Cleef & Arpels.

Born in Marseille in 1974, Charlotte Gastaut moved to Paris at 18 to study at ESAG (École Supérieure des Arts Graphiques - Penninghen). She specializes in illustrating children's books and has produced more than 80 books published by Flammarion, Actes Sud, Albin Michel or Gallimard. Passionate about decorative arts, materials and prints, she created her brand of silk scarves in 2015. In 2021, her latest exhibition "The Arabian Nights" illustrates five famous tales including Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. Surrounded by her illustrations, children experience a fun and immersive experience that awakens their senses. In 2023, her work has been exposed at The Metropolitan Museum during the exhibition « KARL LAGERFELD, a line of Beauty ».

The Maison first collaborated with Charlotte Gastaut in 2018 for the creation of visuals, which accompanied the Quatre contes de Grimm High Jewelry collection. Eight years later, the Charlotte Gastaut's illustrations adorn the Marunouchi Nakadori Avenue, allowing the vistitors to enter her blooming universe.
