Inspired by the seasonal metamorphoses of flora, each year Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates the beauty of nature under its mantle of snow. Today, the Maison is paying tribute to flowers and to the collections showcasing them: Rose de Noël, Frivole®, Fleurette, Flowerlace, Lotus... When the landscape is dressed in frost crystals, they unfold their white or colored corollas, like a symbol of vitality.
Perpetuating the Maison’s tradition of excellence, multiple forms of craftsmanship combine to bring the floral creations to life, and infuse them with shine and intensity. The mirror polish — a Van Cleef & Arpels signature technique since the 1920s — is carefully performed by hand on each piece in the Frivole® collection to enhance its radiance. The craftsmen’s virtuoso hands ensure the light flows unimpeded over the creations, which gleam intensely against the skin as a result.
Fascinated by the beauty of diamonds, the Maison highlights their purity with dazzling jewelry creations. Worn on either side of the face, on the neck, or on the wrist, the Maison’s creations are characterized by a timeless elegance.
Among these pieces, the Fleurette motif carries on the Van Cleef & Arpels heritage. The Flowerlace collection reinterprets the floral motif with sparkling ribbons to adorn the silhouette with refinement. High Jewelry creations lend themselves to the celebration of unique moments.
Among the flowers featured by the Maison since 1906, the Christmas rose has been interpreted since 1970. With its domed corollas, gold and diamond pistils, and combinations of ornamental stones or organic materials, this collection echoes the explosion of color and form that made this decade so vibrant.
Van Cleef & Arpels combines its jewelry savoir-faire with its taste for gemstones to bring the new Rose de Noël creations to life. The selected stones are cut in volume, then polished to accentuate their brilliance before being matched to ensure a uniform color. The Maison's jewelry-making expertise is expressed in each gold element, produced using the ancestral technique of lost-wax casting, then reworked and polished by hand.
