White gold
Characterized by an earnest yet radiant aesthetic, white gold imparts a timeless elegance to the Maison’s creations. Its unique gleam enriches several Van Cleef & Arpels collections, including Socrate™ and Lotus for jewelry, Palmyre for High Jewelry, and Cadenas® for watches.
The distinctive color of white gold comes out once the metal is polished and a thin layer of rhodium applied. A gold and palladium alloy developed by the Maison in the 1920s, it is prized for its crisp radiance and stands out as a perfect complement to diamonds, highlighting the clarity of the stones.

Van Cleef & Arpels uses an 18-carat gold alloy, also known as 750 under the millesimal fineness system. All gold creations are stamped with a hallmark depicting an eagle’s head to certify their purity.
