Creation Highlights

Ode to elegance and femininity, the new High Jewelry collection Liane™ celebrates the world of couture – a cherished inspiration for Van Cleef & Arpels since the 1940s.

In long necklaces with adjustable clasps, the Maison reinterprets an aesthetic of braided gold. Embellished with different combinations of materials, they transpose the flexibility of passementerie in a bold interplay of gold and colored stones.

The necklace’s length can be altered using an adjustable clasp, enabling it to hug the neckline in a subtle play of asymmetry.

Raising the curtain on a collection that will grow over time, these new creations showcase four combinations of materials: joyful, deep and luminous by turn. Each one expresses a unique harmony and reflects the Maison’s expertise in selecting, cutting and setting stones, all of them chosen in keeping with the highest standards.

The influence of couture has suffused this new collection with fluidity and movement.

By highlighting the Cordes motif - which first appeared in 1946 - Van Cleef & Arpels is revisiting one of its leading styles of the mid - 20th century.

A new enthusiasm for elegance and fashion was in full swing at the time. The Maison reinterpreted outfits and textiles from the feminine wardrobe, creating technical innovations like the famous Zip necklace.

Composed of braided gold with a passementerie motif at it tips, the ropes were adapted to a wide range of pieces: bracelets, clips, earrings secret watches, short or long necklaces. The latter have now inspired the Liane collection, a new expression of feminity by Van Cleef & Arpels.
