In 1954, Van Cleef & Arpels reimagined high jewelry by creating La Boutique, a unique place that offered a modern, daywear line of jewels. Among them were clips featuring charming animals. Whether puckish or mischievous, they introduced a lively note to jewelry in Place Vendôme.
In the 1950s, Van Cleef & Arpels created a lightsome world of charming little animals. Inspired by early animated films, they range from endearing to burlesque. Surprisingly proportioned, some evoke the humorous aesthetic of cartoons.
