    Ludo

    Abstract style and elegant details

    Couture-inspired creations

The Ludo bracelet is shaped like a belt; distinguished by its flexible mesh, it is punctuated by a bucklelike clasp, set with precious stones. It has renewed itself over the years in a multitude of guises, while remaining true to its original design.

Just as a belt adds structure to the silhouette and accentuates a slender waist, the Ludo bracelet highlights the graceful outline of a feminine wrist.

    A distinguished quartet

Today, the Maison is honoring it with its own collection, including four new versions and as many dazzling harmonies. The gold’s smooth, shiny surface is subtly interspersed with precious or hard stones, alongside a graphic interplay of lines.

    An icon of the 1930s

The story of the Ludo bracelet is intertwined with that of the Van Cleef & Arpels family. Created in 1934, it was baptized with the nickname of Louis – the youngest of the Arpels brothers. His wife Hélène Arpels – née Ostrowska – was a well-known model who personified French elegance.

The Ludo bracelet illustrates one of the Maison’s key inspirations: the world of couture. Ever since its foundation, this theme has nourished Van Cleef & Arpels’ creativity, in jewels that reinterpret the allure of bows, the patterns of fabrics or the delicacy of lace.
