Jewelry Butterflies
Since the Maison’s founding, the butterfly has brightened its enchanting universe. Straddling the line between figurative and stylized, the motif captures the vitality of nature—a cherished source of inspiration for Van Cleef & Arpels—through a wide range of gemstones and techniques.
The Sweet Butterflies creations showcase the butterfly in delicate proportions
Thanks to their size, these pieces convey understated elegance and offer a wide variety of ways to be worn
The butterfly captures the lightness of flight through its tilted position, as if in motion
In a striking contrast, yellow gold is paired with turquoise or lapis lazuli
Whether rendered in miniature or on a larger scale, the motif has adorned bracelets, necklaces, earrings and clips.
This creation also lends its support for the creativity of Junichi Hakose. Born of a collaboration spanning over twenty years with the Japanese artist, the Lacquered Butterfly creations reveal miniature tableaux created through the age-old art of Japanese lacquer.
