Inspirations

Van Cleef & Arpels and dance, a creative pas de deux

Since its early days, the Maison has shared dance's pursuit of movement and excellence. The story dates back to the 1920s, when Louis Arpels, an avid ballet enthusiast, would take his nephew Claude to the Opéra Garnier, just steps away from Place Vendôme. Inspired by this art, the first Dancer clips were created in 1941, inaugurating a signature theme for Van Cleef & Arpels.

The feminine figures, now emblematic of the Maison, are distinguished by their diamond face and their sparkling silhouette, captured in dynamic poses.

Guided by the values of creation, transmission and education, the program promotes this art form by encouraging the dissemination of repertoire works and the emergence of new productions.
