In 1925, Van Cleef & Arpels attracted praise at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs with a bracelet and brooch adorned with ruby roses, which were awarded a Grand Prix. The floral theme has constantly been renewed: from the 1930s onwards, corollas in full bloom – graced with volume and movement – stood alongside joyful bouquets of colored sapphires or rubies in the Passe-Partout and Hawaï collections.
