A precious flight

In the clear winter light, the snow-covered landscape becomes the perfect setting for the butterfly, dear to Van Cleef & Arpels since its founding in 1906. Rings, earrings, pendants and timepieces showcase a myriad of precious and ornamental stones to give rise to motifs filled with life and imbued with movement. The jewelry and watchmaking creations come together to express the grace of nature.

The Two Butterfly aesthetic is characterized by its stylized, dynamic motif and its asymmetric compositions

Straddling the line between figurative and stylized, the butterfly captures the vitality of nature—a cherished source of inspiration for Van Cleef & Arpels—through a wide range of gemstones and techniques. Whether rendered in miniature or on a larger scale, it embodies the Maison's positive vision of life from one creation to the next.
