Romeo & Juliet clips
A tribute to the lovers from William Shakespeare’s play, the duo of Romeo & Juliet clips is one of the most figurative pieces in the collection. Thanks to remarkable three-dimensional craftsmanship, the two figures seem to come to life in this romantic scene.
Echoing the ruffs of the Renaissance, this glittering necklace brings together two of the Maison’s cherished themes: couture and the white jewelry tradition.
The Lovers’ path bracelet symbolizes the hopeful attitude of Romeo and Juliet, who are prepared to overcome every obstacle for the sake of their love. The piece showcases three Colombian emeralds, notable for their deep green tinged with blue, set in a graphic interplay of lines.
Giardino transformable long necklace
The Giardino long necklace is highly transformable, metamorphosing into 6 different versions of necklaces.
The Maiolica necklace is inspired by the blue of Maiolica ceramics, the glazed pottery typical of the Italian Renaissance. This deep shade is evoked by the rich and dense velvety-blue of a sapphire, weighing over 42 carats, set on a diamond necklace.
O, speak again, bright angel! for thou art
As glorious to this night, being o'er my head,
As is a winged messenger of heaven.

The drawings of Lorenzo Mattotti
The Romeo & Juliet collection has also brought about a dialogue with the work of another artist: Lorenzo Mattotti. At Van Cleef & Arpels’ request, the illustrator has produced a series of drawings depicting an iconographical journey to the heart of the intrigue. They illustrate tension, momentum and suspended motion like a restrained passion.
