L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts travels to Seoul for 3 weeks
June 25, 2026
Established in 2012 with the support of Van Cleef & Arpels, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts aims to introduce the public to all aspects of jewelry culture through various activities: courses, workshops, talks, exhibitions, research, books and podcast. Activities at L’ÉCOLE cover three main areas: the history of jewelry, the world of gemstones and the savoir-faire of jewelry-making techniques.
For the first time, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts travels to Korea, marking an exciting new chapter in its growing presence across the Asia-Pacific region. The Nomadic School will convene at Futura Seoul, an acclaimed art space in the historic Bukchon Gahoe-dong district. This setting, rich in Joseon Dynasty heritage and ancient hanok villages, elegantly merges Seoul's past with contemporary architecture. Bathed in natural light and framed by its surrounding cityscape, the space offers an inspiring and contemplative environment in which to discover the world of jewelry arts.
Explore the course and talks
From June 25th to July 15th, participants of this Nomadic School will engage in a dynamic program of courses and talks led by art historians, gemologists, master artisans, and jewelry experts. A total of 105 courses will be presented in Seoul, offering rare opportunities for hands-on learning, close observation of precious materials, and intimate exchanges with lecturers. Young audiences are also welcome. Four dedicated workshops, tailored to different age groups, will introduce children aged 6 and above as well as teenagers to jewelry design, gemology, and craftsmanship through creative, tactile experiences –encouraging curiosity and creativity from an early age.
"Garden of emeralds – discover the gemstones” exhibition
Running alongside the Nomadic School is the exhibition "Garden of emeralds – discover the gemstones", which follows its debut in Dubai and celebrated run in Shanghai. Part of L’ÉCOLE’s Discover the Gemstones series, the exhibition dives into the world of emeralds, tracing their journey from geological formation to objects of art and High Jewelry.
