The Pure Alhambra® earrings showcase the depth of onyx in a harmony of clean, radiant lines. On either side of the face, Van Cleef & Arpels’ icon of luck is outlined by mirror-polished 18K yellow gold, creating an elegant contrast of materials.

Onyx is a deep, rich black variety of chalcedony. The Maison selects stones with a fine, homogeneous texture. Polishing enhances the sparkle of this stone so that the surface reflects light like a mirror.

For its creations, Van Cleef & Arpels carefully selects extremely pure stones in intense, uniform hues. The colors of onyx are often harmonized by lapidaries using specific techniques to provide consistent undertones.
