Powerful symbols of joy and hope, fairies and ballerinas are an enduring tradition at Van Cleef & Arpels. Touched with ethereal grace, these emblematic feminine figures evoke the Maison’s enchanting world.
The Sakura Fairy discreetly observes the spectacle of blossoming cherry trees. The dial depicts Enchanting Nature with the help of several artisanal handcrafts: sculpted and hand-painted mother-of-pearl creates delicate flowers, while the corollas in the foreground are decorated with cabochonné enamel, lending an opalescent relief to the petals. Made of sculpted white gold, the fairy reveals diamond wings and a rose-cut face hinting at the grace and vivacity of her expressions. A diamond and pink sapphire charm, depicting a cherry blossom, completes the miniature painting.
