Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates luck in Geneva, Switzerland

Exhibition - August 29, 2024

Alhambra long necklaces, 1976 and 1980, 18K yellow gold, coral. Van Cleef & Arpels Collection.

To mark the launch of its new Alhambra creations, Van Cleef & Arpels is celebrating luck with a journey of discovery into this iconic collection from September 4th to 29th, 2024 at the Maison’s two Geneva boutiques. It begins at 10 Rue Robert-Céard, amid an enchanting decor imagined by Burcu & Geoffrey, a Franco-Turkish duo of directors that has been collaborating with Van Cleef & Arpels since 2018. The central theme for this mise-en-scène is the four-leaf clover, a symbol of luck that inspired the Alhambra motif.

“To be lucky, you have to believe in luck.”

Jacques Arpels

In the Salon 1906, located within the boutique at 31 Rue du Rhône, "The Alhambra, celebrating luck since 1968" patrimonial exhibition pays tribute to nature and luck, two themes dear to the Maison.

The birth and evolution of the collection since its inception in 1968 will be chronicled through jewelry pieces and archival images, illustrating the hedonistic spirit of the 1970s.

Associations of materials, various functions and motif sizes will highlight its multiple facets. This ensemble reflects the Maison’s inventiveness, the excellence of its savoir-faire and its expertise in gemstones.

Visitors are invited to participate in creative and entertaining workshops around the theme of luck, and demonstrations led by a Van Cleef & Arpels gem setter. A stone expert is also available to share his knowledge and passion for gems.
