Since April 1st 2019, Van Cleef & Arpels is honored to be the official Sponsor of the Bolshoi Theatre.
The Maison’s partnership with the famous Moscow’s Theatre dates back to May 2012, when the renowned stage hosted five performances of a George Balanchine’s ballet: Jewels. Inspired by the Maison’s creations and born from the friendship between George Balanchine and Claude Arpels, this ballet gave pride a place to three dear to Van Cleef & Arpels stones: emeralds, rubies and diamonds.
In 2017, Van Cleef & Arpels became a partner of the Nureyev ballet premiere, commemorating the legendary ballet dancer, a symbol of freedom and creativity.
This sponsorship writes a new chapter in the relation between Van Cleef & Arpels and the Bolshoi, knitted by a constant quest for excellence.
Van Cleef & Arpels has forged a strong link with the world of dance since the 1940s, when the first ballerina clips were designed, inspired by Louis Arpels’ passion for opera and ballet. These ballerina clips became one of the signature of the Maison.
