Exhibition "Transformations in Jewelry: technical innovations and original ways of wearing" at 20, place Vendôme Paris
Exhibition - 5 January 2023
Located at the heart of the Van cleef & Arpels boutique 20, place Vendôme, the Galerie du Patrimoine will unveil a new exhibition dedicated to transformable jewelry featuring more than thirty pieces from the Van Cleef & Arpels Patrimonial collection.
Showcased in a didactic scenography characterized by its embroidered figures crafted by artist Peter Crawley, the Jewelry creations are revealed in an unexpected way by demonstrating to the variety of ways they can be worn.
The theme of the exhibition illustrates how transformable pieces result as much from the creativity of the Maison as from the virtuosity of its craftsmen. The necklaces are divided into bracelets, the clips separate into several elements and the pendants turn into brooches.
Van Cleef & Arpels signatures, the transformable creations represent the evolution of the female silhouette and what it manifests in each era. From the 1920s to the present day they were adapted to the economic necessities and to the social, aesthetic, or cultural evolutions.
