The Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, a Living Heritage company with a long-standing commitment to the transmission of jewelry professions and savoir-faire, is renewing its initiative intended for young people and the general public: “de Mains en mains” (“From Hands to hands”). Participants in this event, which will take place in Lyon from November 26 to December 4, 2022, at the InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu can attend a Parcours Métiers (Professional Pathways) with professional jewelry experts, as well as classes, conferences and workshops offered by L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, and discover an exhibition of historical and contemporary pieces created by the Maison.

Professional pathways

Over the course of a week, craftsmen from Van Cleef & Arpels’ Paris and Lyon workshops will share and discuss about their experience, their everyday life and their passion with groups of students. They will try their hand at several specialized gestures such as setting, polishing or jewelry work.

Several jewelry schools will present to students the different trainings dedicated to these traditional savoir-faire. Representatives of Van Cleef & Arpels's associated workshops will also share their experience and the potential openings within companies.

The Parcours Métiers (Professional Pathways) will be open to the general public, by reservation, on the weekends of November 26 - 27 and December 3 - 4. All will attend craftsmen’s interactive demonstrations of savoir-faire. Visitors will also meet with jewelery schools and Human Resources team from Van Cleef & Arpels who will present the different training programs dedicated to these traditional crafts.
