Nureyev, an original ballet at the Bolshoi

Fifty years after the premiere of the ballet Jewels, created by George Balanchine in 1967, Van Cleef & Arpels is once again celebrating the art of dance, by supporting the premiere of "Nureyev", an original ballet commemorating Rudolf Nureyev, a symbol of freedom and creativity. 

 

On December 9th and 10th 2017, on its historic stage, the Bolshoi Theatre presents this new creation honoring the great dancer and choreographer. “Nureyev” ballet, designed by Kirill Serebrennikov, Yuri Possokhov and Ilya Demutsky, traces the twists and turns of his destiny while also addressing the topics of the man himself, society and creative freedom.
