To celebrate Van Cleef & Arpels’ commitment to the world of dance that dates back to 1940s with the creation of first ballerina clips and long-lasting Partnership with the Bolshoi Theater, the Maison is pleased to present En Coulisses exhibition in Petrovsky Passage in Moscow from October 8th to 17th. Guided by the values of creation, transmission and education, this precious journey aims to unveil two universes - Jewelry craftmanship and Art of Dance immersing into the behind-the-scenes atmosphere.

 

Visitors can enjoy a dedicated selection of creations from Van Cleef & Arpels patrimonial collection, wich express the deep and long-lasting relationship between the Maison and the world of dance, such as graceful high Jewelry ballerinas.

Coming from the Place Vendôme workshops, the “Mains d’Or” will be proud to share their how and show how they create the Maison delicate creations. The virtuosity of jewelers, stone setters, designers and polishers will be shown to the public during this exhibition.

En Coulisses program will also include a series of offline talks and conversations dedicated to the art of dance. Experts from Russian museums and theatres will take part in these conversations focused on culture, ballet, music, and jewelry. Experts from L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, will also hold three online talks: "The Secrets of Sentimental Jewels", "The Dancing Jewels" and "The Secret Language of Flowers". These talks will be held in English with simultaneous translation into Russian. 

Moreover, on the occasion of En Coulisses, Van Cleef & Arpels is presenting the ballet-opera "Zephyr and Flore or Metamorphoses" with participation of artists and principals of Bolshoi Theater and invited opera soloists. The film screening of the ballet performance will be part of the En Coulisses exhibition at Petrosky Passage, broadcasted daily at the exhibition.
