Chrysoprase

Known since Antiquity, chrysoprase was a medium of sculpture for Greeks and Romans, who used it to embellish jewelry. This stone was especially prized by Alexander the Great (King of Macedonia, born 356 BC, died 323 BC) and Frederick the Great (King of Prussia from 1740 to 1786).
