Mother-of-pearl

Derived from sea shells, the mother-of-pearl selected by Van Cleef & Arpels is remarkable for its lustrous shine and delicate iridescent reflections. We recommend you to not leave it upon contact with water as it could damage your creation. You can delicately clean mother-of-pearl using a soft dry cloth.
As mother-of-pearl is a naturally soft substance, small scratches can appear on its surface.

Malachite

Malachite is a soft stone distinguished by its green color streaked with harmonious light and dark lines. Over time, this stone evolves naturally and may develop a matte surface, which emphasizes its unique character.
As malachite is a naturally delicate stone, small scratches can appear on its surface. We recommend that you avoid all contact with water, which could alter its brilliance.

Letterwood

Vegetal in origin, this rare and precious material is prized for its mottled appearance with reddish highlights. Time brings a darker patina to its nuances of color and reveals more of the natural streaks.
As letterwood is particularly sensitive to contact with water, we recommend that you clean your creation delicately with a soft dry cloth.
