Jewelry and Dance inspire similar emotions: the pursuit of perfection, the dedication to precision and finesse, and a giddy sense of excitement. The Maison’s affinity for the most poetic of the performing arts dates from the days when Louis Arpels would leave his office in Place Vendôme to attend a ballet at the nearby Opéra Garnier. In 1961, Louis’ passion came to life when Claude Arpels met choreographer George Balanchine and inspired him to create the Jewels Ballet.
