The Maison’s affinity for the most poetic of the performing arts dates from the days when Louis Arpels would leave his office in Place Vendôme to attend a ballet at the nearby Opéra Garnier. In 1961, Louis’ passion came to life when Claude Arpels met choreographer George Balanchine and inspired him to create the Jewels Ballet.
